Welcome to Providence Creek Farm
Providence Creek Farm (formerly Chicken Worth Eating) is a farm located in Clarence Center, NY. The farm is run by me, Ben Gehl, my wife Lori, and our four children Jack, Micah, Mattie, and Katherine.
None of our animals are given growth hormones or routine antibiotics. As much as possible, all of our animals are raised on rotational grazed pastures. These pastures and the hay that comes from them provide the basis for all our animals' diets. During the winter most of our animals have access to the outdoors and are provided deeply bedded shelter. These are all major tenants of our farming philosophy.
Why Pasture Raised?
Raising animals in a pasture based system gives them access to their natural diet and their natural environment. In addition to a better life, studies have shown pasture raised animals have less total fat, saturated fat, cholesterol, and calories. Their meat is higher in vitamins, beta carotene, antioxidants, and health-promoting fats, omega 3s.
Animals raised on pasture THRIVE!
